001 /// Private Rocket Feed - Video

Good evening, Team Rocket.

[A calm, cool greeting sounds on the private network as, at first, the video shows nothing but darkness. Eventually the lens adjusts to show a young man with golden serpentine eyes, his hand petting and rubbing through the crest of a small Murkrow’s feathers whilst a Bagon is glaring at the camera from the man’s other side. He’s sitting, relaxed on the bed in a room that looks identical to so many others in the Rocket Base, before he addresses the pokégear again.]

I suppose this happened to all of you; taken to this world with these creatures – Pokémon? With only the clothes on your backs, pokémon of your own, and this note lying on your desks.

[He waves the note in front of the camera briefly before setting it down and turning back to the lens.]

It’s pointless to ask how to return, is it not? Rather than asking that, I’ll try a different inquiry. What do you have to tell me about Team Rocket? What have you done that makes it a worthy organization to work under?

[[OoC: Responses will come tomorrow as I am just about to go to bed and wanted to get this up even if it's just a slightly modified version of my sample sob. See you all then!]]

Well, you just can't leave It's mostly to prevent people from spilling the organization's secrets. Not doing anything in the organization so, while you're officially a part of one, you actually aren't doing anything to support it and you're free to go on your daily activities, is acceptable and usually flies under the radar.

Not really. Some people aren't bad in the slightest, on the morality scale, so they quietly opt out of the organization and live a life of good deeds, or something. Most people willingly go along with the rocket agenda, if it fits their thirst to commit vile actions. No one chooses to be in this organization, initially, they wake up here one of the Rockets, regardless of how nice they really are. They could also wake up in New Barktown, with no obligations to any organization.

Well, what would you like to hear about Team Rocket? Its goals? Its ideas? Its actions?

Its actions range from incredible successes, like monopolizing a market, taking over a radio tower in secret, and creating a solution to temporarily obtain pokémon's powers to failing fantastically in a battle against legendary pokémon.

Its goals seem to be the conquering of Johto for specific reasons that, as of now, aren't totally certain.

Ah, I see, so you're interested in growing amongst the ranks? Maybe you're what this organization needed. [ Some organization. Badumtssh!!! ]

Well, honestly, I can't say I have many here. I've taken up mostly desk and organizational work, because of how badly my superior needs it. With someone of his [ ...There's a pause here as she tries to find the right word. ] temperament, it's just nice to let him speed off and do whatever act crosses his fancy and I just make sure there's upkeep enough for him to do that. I don't do much on the frontlines. [ Because she really wants the good publicity. Madame Sneasel on the other hand.... ]

I work in Vermillion City. We deal with mostly imports, but I conduct my own research lab on the outskirts of the town. It's in Kanto, which isn't your region, unless you take the train to Saffron immediately.

I understand. I stayed in Goldenrod for quite some time myself before being transfered. There's a library, both in the base you are in right now and in the pokécenter that detail various things about this world, with both very interesting and - at times - conflicting perspectives.

I'm Isabella. The pleasure is mine. [ That was obligatory. Sorry, Chase ): ]

I guess. You should be able to send people messages through the Pokegear. I have an inbox, so, if I cannot reach you, you can leave a message and I will reply to you as soon as I can. Good luck with the training, it will probably not be very eye-opening for someone of your stature.

That's fair. The pokégear system is not too difficult to navigate. This technology does not exist in my world, and yet I was able to get the hang of it rather quickly.

[ it's okay. She's from some sort of 1923 world and she's been living since the 1700s. ): ]

That's how people usually assess their future decisions. [ She kinda doesn't think too much of him right now. ]
