Good evening, Team Rocket.

[A calm, cool greeting sounds on the private network as, at first, the video shows nothing but darkness. Eventually the lens adjusts to show a young man with golden serpentine eyes, his hand petting and rubbing through the crest of a small Murkrow’s feathers whilst a Bagon is glaring at the camera from the man’s other side. He’s sitting, relaxed on the bed in a room that looks identical to so many others in the Rocket Base, before he addresses the pokégear again.]

I suppose this happened to all of you; taken to this world with these creatures – Pokémon? With only the clothes on your backs, pokémon of your own, and this note lying on your desks.

[He waves the note in front of the camera briefly before setting it down and turning back to the lens.]

It’s pointless to ask how to return, is it not? Rather than asking that, I’ll try a different inquiry. What do you have to tell me about Team Rocket? What have you done that makes it a worthy organization to work under?

[[OoC: Responses will come tomorrow as I am just about to go to bed and wanted to get this up ~~even if it's just a slightly modified version of my sample sob~~. See you all then!]]

The same has happened to all of us. Normally people start at a place called New Park Town with one Pokémon at hand, but us Team Rocket members are special like this.

Team Rocket is the villain for this "story". We steal Pokémon and cause chaos all around. Sometimes we even blow things up. [Not that Ren approves any of this, but he can talk about it rather casually.]

[Switching over, because hm. He's figured out how to filter it, but he'll have to play around with this device more later...]

An evil organization, but to what point and purpose? What is their goal?

[He'd use the video feature if he didn't have a bruise on his cheek, but alas.]

My guess is they're trying to take over the world. What else would a criminal organization want?

Are you asking for a lissst of individual or group accomplishments?

[Cobra's got no problem with detailing past successes; he just wants to know which ones to start rambling about.]

Dear, dear. Someone didn't read his handbook, it seems.

Many things. Wealth, power, to prove a point like so many religious wars have in the past, or simply because they enjoy it would all be reasons why they would do such things.

Global domination is a worthy guess, however.

Though I did ask specifically about the organization, I suppose I wouldn't mind hearing about some recent accomplishments of your own afterwards.

I must have missed the 'previous accomplishments' excerpts when I read through it earlier. Perhaps you would care to humor me and inform me of why I should be a part of this Team Rocket?

Clothes on my back? Bah! They didn't even let me keep my shell.

Anyway, the team's okay I guess. It's a good opportunity to spread mayhem and plot sinister schemes. Plus you get more resources than if ya started off as a Trainer.

[Hm.]

And just what sort of mayhem have you managed to spread?

Mass poisoning, for one. Plus I swept a bunch of high-leveled Pokémon right under their trainers' noses!

[Gwa ha ha ha!]

I see... It sounds impressive.

I was starting to think that Team Rocket didn't have members capable of truly malicious acts, but perhaps your evil will be able to prove that my assumption false.

To a question posed so derisively? Unthinkable.

Well, given your openly skeptical attitude, you must be new to collaborative business. How fortunate you'll be corrected so quickly.

Gwa ha ha! I'm a seasoned veteran of evil plots. I'd say my badness levels alone make this team worthwhile.

[Or maybe he's just smug.]

[He wanted to go over his accomplishments first, so he's a little disappointed, but let's see...]

In my two years as a member of thissss organization, Team Rocket has cornered the market on Slowpoke tails, taken over the Radio Tower in Goldenrod, acquired the Tower in Lavender Town, captured a Legendary Pokemon, acquired control of Johto's sanitation system in order to flood cities with living garbage, and used genetic engineering to wreak untold amounts of havoc throughout both Johto and Kanto culminating in the destruction of multiple Pokemon Centers and heavy damage to various Gyms.

[And those are just the things he remembers at present!]

Team Rocket is an organization that plots to take over Johto for the sake of regaining this organization's former glory. The reason for staying doesn't require much thought. Team Rocket is very interested in keeping any and all members under it's grasp and they aren't above sending out much stronger members to do a little welfare check on some of the more rebellious operatives.

You can leave, but they can make you wish you hadn't. [ There's no point in really telling him why to work under them. You're kinda here by force, whether you like it or not. Or, that's what Lust has always seen. ]

A waste.

[He sighs, shaking his head while he leans back on the bed.]

Evil must be a choice if you want the best results. Their resources would be better pooled towards fueling their own schemes than to try and retrieve stray worms who can't stand in their way regardless.

A pleasure to meet you, Bowser. Perhaps I would like to be a part of one of your evil plans in the future, if what you're planning to do is interesting enough.

I would say it's more of a 'background check', to make sure that my interests lie at least somewhat with Team Rocket's. Who better to ask than those under its employ?

Of course, if you have no such information for me, we may as well end our conversation here.

[Don't worry Cobra, he's going to listen to you after just like he said he would. Even if he's not entirely sure he wants to.

Though, he's going to make a mental note about 'legendary pokemon'. Hm.]

Interesting. And your own misdeeds?

Well, you just can't leave It's mostly to prevent people from spilling the organization's secrets. Not doing anything in the organization so, while you're officially a part of one, you actually aren't doing anything to support it and you're free to go on your daily activities, is acceptable and usually flies under the radar.

It sounds like you're familiar with these kinds of organizations, then. [Somehow it's natural for villains to arrive to a villain side... though then there's the unfortunate ones.] So far I haven't heard of a bigger goal, but there are several members here who are interested in global domination so it's naturally the first thing that came to my mind.

[ Scanty sniffs. ]

The upper echelons of any competent organization always determine the interests of their inferiors. This public inquiry to the contrary might end poorly for you, novice boy.

[ The background of her own video - or what little of it that's visible around her hair - begins to change slightly. Scanty's on the move.

And she's headed down a hall in the dorms of the Rocket base. ]

But are they worthy enough to effectively command me? That is what I intend to determine.

If they are, it should be simple enough to answer such questions in exchange for the willing co-operation of their supposed inferiors. There is no harm in divulging previous accomplishments to any subordinate, provided that there is also no possibility of that information harming the efforts of current plans.

And, if there is no accomplishment at all to share, then there is no reason or fear attaching me to this organization, is there?

[Oh he noticed it, though where exactly she is still isn't evident to him. He still needs to get properly acquainted with the organization himself, after all.]
